Split a CSA share into any number of monthly payments

Installment payments on a CSA share used to be locked at four. If you wanted to spread a $3,000 annual share across twelve months, or tighten a season share down to three payments, there was no way to do it — and signup quoted and charged four payments no matter what.
Now a share can be split into any number of monthly payments from 2 to 12, and the whole checkout honors it. Members see the correct total due today, the right number of due dates each a month apart, and copy that names the real number of payments instead of always saying four. The first payment is charged at signup and the rest collect automatically, a month apart, on the card or bank account they chose — with rounding handled so the payments always add up to the exact share total, never off by a cent.
Shares already using installments stay at four until someone changes them, and members already on a plan keep their original payments, amounts, and due dates. Changing the count only affects new signups going forward, and renewals still bill as a single prorated charge rather than splitting into installments. To set or change the installment count on one of your shares, contact the Farmhand support team and we'll configure it for you.
