Bill a new subscription right away, whatever the payment method

Release Date:

Create Subscription payment-method dropdown listing card, bank, and cash or check

Until now, Create Subscription only offered Immediate billing when the member had a card on file. Anyone paying by bank transfer or cash and check got pushed to Deferred, which meant no invoice until the first order's cutoff — sometimes weeks out, with no receipt for the member and nothing for you to collect against. Meanwhile your CSA signup page was already accepting every method you allow.

Now the payment dropdown lists every method on the member's account that your farm accepts — card, bank, cash and check — each properly labeled, and Immediate billing works with all of them. If they have no method on file yet, you can add one inline without losing anything you've already filled in on the form, and it gets selected for you. Switching farms mid-form re-checks what that farm accepts instead of throwing an error.

Billing behaves correctly per method: a card is charged now, bank is processed now, and cash or check creates an invoice due by the first fulfillment date with no charge. The summary now says "Invoiced now" rather than "Billed now" for offline payers, so it's clear when money actually moves.
